LONG STORY SHORT
This started out as an ambitious hackathon project, which I took the initiative to further explore AI interaction behaviors (ongoing)

The Pitch
Video editing hasn't fundamentally changed in 20 years. You still drag clips, scrub timelines, and manually adjust every parameter. We asked: what if your editor could just listen?
With Gemini's Live API enabling real-time multimodal interaction, we saw the opportunity to build something genuinely new - an agent that hears your intent, sees your current edit, generates creative assets, and applies changes directly to the timeline.

Problem Statement
As its volunteer network grew, coordinating volunteers relied heavily on spreadsheets, emails, and manual follow-ups, creating a growing administrative burden for staff. Thus, they wants to create a new platform integrated into their existing website to streamline operations for both 7 staff and 50,000 + volunteers.
My Role
As the lead designer, I drove the end-to-end design process from research and problem definition to product strategy, information architecture, and high-fidelity design. Several of my accomplishments include:
👩💻
Design
Own the 0-1 design as a solo designer, advocating for iterative design process
🤝
XFN Work
Proactively generated ideas with PM, Tech Lead, and the clients, creating agile sprint goals for product roadmap.
👩🏫
Education
Led Figma workshop for new developers, integrating design QA into the process

QUESTIONS I AM EXPLORING
Do we see a PMF when AI translates creative intent into video edits?
Do we see a PMF when AI translates creative intent into video edits?
Do creators actually want to tell AI what they want to achieve instead of manually editing? We wanted to see if this could make video editing faster and easier.
How do we design the boundary between AI autonomy and human creative control?
How do we design the boundary between AI autonomy and human creative control?
How much should AI do on its own, and when should the creator stay in control? I want to explore how AI can handle repetitive tasks while leaving important creative decisions to the creator.
Ongoing! Would welcome thoughts, discussion on Human-AI Interaction!
